Fight The Power

My boy Audio Dru was looked into some policy changes that will affect everyone in the city of San Jose. Especially if you party late nights.

THE CITY OF SAN JOSE…

..Is making changes.

We need to speak up.

The DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING, BUILDING AND CODE ENFORCEMENT is
having a public hearing on an ordinance to establish a pilot program for

3:00AM closings in certain areas of the downtown for certain businesses.

The pilot program is for 180 days and will allow bars and clubs along
Santa Clara St., and San Fernando to stay open till 3:00am.

They will still stop selling alcohol by 2am, but bars and clubs will still be open.

The benefits are less drunk drivers, less traffic congestion, less drunk asses
running around downtown at 1:30am, and extra time to groove to.

There are 2 hearings:

PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING
MONDAY, JUNE 11, 2007
6:30PM.
WING ROOM 118-119
CITY HALL
200 E. SANTA CLARA ST.
SAN JOSE, CA 95113

I can’t make this one but the next one I’ll be there:

CITY COUNCIL HEARING
TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 2007
1:30PM
CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
CITY HALL
200 E. SANTA CLARA STREET
SAN JOSE, CA 95113

word.

So if you feel that this is needed, come join me and let’s let them
hear our voice.

It is OUR Downtown.

Let’s make a DIFFERENCE.

On another note,
There is another COMMUNITY MEETING for the
3RD ANNUAL SAN JOSE GRAND PRIX.

It is for residents, and businesses of Downtown San Jose.
The first year was a success for all businesses.
Last year not so much, due to all the fences and lack of entries.
Remember there will be thousands of people from all over the world
July 27-29th, lets represent the 408.

Let’s add our insight.

The meeting is:
THURSDAY, JUNE 14TH AT 5:30PM
SAN JOSE CITY HALL WING ROOM 120
200 EAST SANTA CLARA STREET, SAN JOSE.

I live right across the street from City Hall.

So holla at me if you want to raise conciousness Downtown.

and maybe we can grab a bite or a drink after.

“Let’s get Mayor Reed, to understand our need.”

Thanks.

Peace…
Andrew Moyco
