Thanks to everyone who showed up to make Hip Hop Thursdays crackin’ this week! Dj Shea ripped the set in the beginning with some warm feeling electro, funk, and hip hop beats. Then came Dj Luicidal who tore the spot down with some bay area classics! Last to spin was me. I spun some super throw back old school joints that people haven’t heard in like 8-13 years. The Bayliens made a minor appearance and where vibin’ out to Dj Luicidal’s set. Check the pics below!

I would like to thank Johnny for giving us three Dj’s the opportunity to rock the spot. If you like the music you hear on KSJS or you want to detoxify from the same club music, Johnny V’s is the spot to be Thursday nights. On a side note, this coming week might be our last week (1/24/07). Because Johnny V’s is a bar, and they need to make money selling drinks, Johnny has gave me two weeks to get the spot crackin’ or else he is going to try getting bands lined up every Thursday to draw people in. Tre Hardson (formerly known as Slimkid3) and Fatlip are going to be in town next week November 1st. I will be having a school session on my show about The Pharcyde journery and try to get an interview going with Tre and Fatlip. As of today, The Pharcyde is two people: Bootie Brown and Imani. During the stop sets I will be letting you know about the show, give out some tickets and try to play some clean records from The Pharcyde and most recent releases of Tre Hardson’s “Liberation” and Fatlips “The Loneliest Punk”.
